Integumentary System

Your Integumentary System covers your body and helps you maintain homeostasis.

The organs are the epidermis and dermis.  The epidermis is the outside layer of your skin.  The tissue that makes it is the epithelial tissue.

The Immune System interacts with the this system because your skin is your Immune System's first defense mechanism.

The Nervous System interacts with the Integumentary System because it tells your brain when you have been harmed.

Skin Cancer is the result of the genetic material in skin cells being damaged.  Acne happens when oil combines with dead skin cells and bacteria to clog hair follicles.
