Digestive System

The Digestive System breaks down food so that it can be used by the body.

The organs are the salivary glands, teeth, mouth, pharynx, esophagus, liver, stomach, gallbladder, pancreas, small intestine, large intestine, rectum, and anus.

Your stomach breaks down food into a liquid and its tissues are the cardiac orifice and the pyloric sphinctor.

Your Excretory System interacts with the Digestive by your stomach handing off the liquids in your body to the Excretory System.

The Circulatory System interacts with it closely because they both get the absorbed nutrients distributed through your body.

Crohn’s disease causes inflammation of parts of the digestive tract.

Hepatitis means inflammation of the liver.
